What it is for

Invoices, delivery notes, purchases, counter sales and goods deliveries move stock on their own. A manual movement covers everything else: opening stock, broken or free goods, samples, corrections after a check.

How to do it

  1. Open Inventory and tap Record movement (keyboard: M).
  2. Choose the Product (only stock-tracked ones are listed) and, if any, the Variant and the Warehouse.
  3. Choose the Reason and enter the Quantity, always positive: the reason sets the direction.
  4. For Receipt and Customer return enter the Unit cost; the hint is the product’s purchase price.
  5. Check the Date; for lot or serial-tracked products fill in Lot, Lot expiry or Serial numbers.
  6. Tap Record.

Reasons

  • Receipt, Customer return and Positive adjustment increase stock.
  • Issue, Return to supplier and Negative adjustment decrease it.
  • Stock count sets stock to the quantity entered.
  • Transfer out and Transfer in are only recorded through Transfer.

Stock and value

The Inventory table shows for each product (and variant, warehouse and lot) Quantity, Average cost and Value; at the top the overall Value at average cost. The cost is a weighted average: each receipt with a cost recalculates it, issues leave at the current average. Products below minimum stock are tagged below minimum and, if you can manage purchases, Reorder below minimum stock prepares supplier orders.

Browse, print and export

  1. Open the Movements section at the bottom of Inventory.
  2. Filter by From, To, Reason, Warehouse, Product, Category and Subcategory and, if you use them, Lot and Serial number; Clear filters removes them.
  3. With Customer or supplier you only see the movements of that customer’s or supplier’s documents (invoices, delivery notes, purchases, deliveries, counter sales).
  4. The page shows the latest 100 movements; Print movements and Export movements CSV (also under More) include them all, with the same filters.

With Print and CSV with prices ticked, the printout and the CSV add the Price and Value of each movement: the cost for receipts, the net price of the linked document for the others. The CSV always has the Customer / supplier column.

What Nanus checks

  • The quantity must be greater than zero and the product stock-tracked.
  • Lot and variant are required for products that track them.
  • Insufficient stock: only a warning, because the receipt is sometimes recorded after the sale. Negative stock is highlighted in the table.

On this screen a recorded movement cannot be edited: to fix a mistake record an adjustment in the opposite direction.

Frequently asked questions

Why is a product missing from the product choice?

Because Track inventory is not ticked in its record.

Do invoices also take goods out of stock?

Yes: invoices, delivery notes, purchases and counter sales create movements on their own. An invoice made from delivery notes does not take out again the goods already shipped with them.
