What changes in each version
Nanus release notes, in brief. In the browser updates arrive on their own; the desktop app is updated from the Download page. You will also find them in the app’s Guide.
Version 1.9.0
New
- Desktop app and smartphone on the same data: in Settings → Users and sign-in press "Connect to the cloud", sign in with your account and the desktop app works on the cloud, always up to date. A paid cloud plan is required.
- The desktop app updates itself: the new version downloads while you work and installs when you close Nanus. If you want it straight away, press "Update now" on the Home page.
- Early access: in the desktop app, under Settings → Users and sign-in, you can get preview versions with new features before everyone else.
Version 1.8.0
New
- Move from the cloud to the desktop app (and back) without retyping anything: in the initial setup, choose a backup file and all your data comes across, documents included.
- What's new in each version: after an update it appears on the Home page, then stays in the Guide and at nanus.it/en/whats-new.
Improved
- Desktop app: the X asks for confirmation before closing Nanus, so you don't quit by mistake.
Version 1.7.2

- Desktop app for Linux: AppImage, deb (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint) and rpm (Fedora, openSUSE) on the Download page.
Fixed
- Desktop app for Windows: after installation it stopped with “The server has stopped”; it now starts.

- Open XML invoice: view, print and save as PDF an XML, p7m or ZIP invoice received by PEC or from the tax drawer and, if it's addressed to you, record it in purchases.
- On nanus.it, the free “XML invoice viewer” page, no sign-up needed.
Improved
- Purchases: an invoice already recorded is recognised even when its number is written differently, and a warning stops you recording it twice.

- Settings → Language and appearance: larger descriptions and notes (+1, +2 or +4 px).

- Documents opens on invoices, the Statistics chart shows values on its axis and the Accounting summaries use the full width.
Fixed
- Many interface touch-ups: headers aligned with values, buttons that wrap on smartphones, correct colours in the dark theme.

- Support from the app: report a problem, suggest an idea or ask a question, with a screenshot if you like. A person from the team replies.
- Discount code on the first year in the Subscription page, with the discounted price shown before you pay.

- Logo in Print and email: on a smartphone you can pick it from any app (Dropbox, Drive, Files), not just the photo gallery.
Version 1.4.0
New
- Stronger passwords, with a meter and rules that tick off as you type; you can also change your password from Settings → Users.
- Several accounts for payments, with BIC: on each invoice you choose which one to be paid on. Italian banks are recognised from the IBAN.
- Invoices: numbering series, deposit already received, discount on the total, a second withholding tax and lines imported from CSV or Excel.

- “+ New customer” straight from the document: after saving you're back on the document with the customer already selected.
