What it is for

To price goods on the shelves or label goods that just arrived. Each label shows description, code, price (if you want) and barcode. The PDF is printed on A4 adhesive sheets with an ordinary printer.

How to do it

  1. Open Products → More → Labels.
  2. In Content choose the Price: VAT included, VAT excluded or No price; if you have price lists, choose the Price list or Base price.
  3. In How many labels choose The copies entered or One per item in stock (with several warehouses, also for a single warehouse).
  4. In the list search the products and enter the Copies for each, or tap One for each listed product; Clear starts again.
  5. Tap Print PDF.

From a goods delivery, Print labels opens this page with one label for each piece received, which you can change before printing.

The label sheet

  • In Label sheet choose the Format among common ones (3 × 8, 3 × 7, 2 × 7, 4 × 10, 5 × 13) or Custom.
  • You can adjust Columns, Rows, the four margins and the gaps between columns and rows, in millimetres; Nanus shows the size of each label.
  • Labels already used: to reuse a partly used sheet, printing starts at the next position.
  • Format, price and price list are remembered on that device.

The barcode

  • The product’s or variant’s barcode is printed (EAN-13 or EAN-8).
  • Without a barcode, or with an invalid EAN, the internal code is printed as Code 128.
  • If the code contains characters that cannot be printed as bars, the label comes out without bars.

What Nanus checks

  • Only active goods are listed, one per active variant.
  • With One per item in stock decimal quantities (metres, kilos) count as one more label; negative stock gives none.
  • Labels too small (below about 25 × 15 mm): reduce columns, rows, margins or gaps.
