Raise or lower prices in bulk

How to change by a percentage the selling prices, costs or price list prices of many products at once, with a preview and rounding.

Where to find it
Products → More → Price change

Open in Nanus

What it is for

To apply a price increase, a cost adjustment or a discount to the whole catalogue or part of it, without opening products one by one.

How to do it

  1. Open Products → More → Price change.
  2. In What to change choose Prices to change: Base selling price (and variants), Purchase cost or Dedicated prices of a price list (then choose the Price list).
  3. Enter the Change %: for example 3.5 for an increase, -10 for a reduction.
  4. In Round choose the step: 1, 5, 10 or 50 cents, or 1 euro.
  5. In Which items narrow down, if needed, by Category and Preferred supplier; tick Include items no longer active to include them.
  6. Tap Show preview and check the Before and After columns.
  7. Tap Apply followed by the number of prices. Nanus confirms how many prices it updated.

If you change an option after the preview, the preview is cleared: run it again before applying.

How rounding works

The new price is brought to the nearest multiple of the chosen step; halfway values are rounded up. Some examples with a 7% increase:

  • from 12.00 you get 12.84, which with a 5-cent step becomes 12.85;
  • with a 50-cent step it becomes 13.00;
  • with a 1-euro step it becomes 13.00, while 12.40 would become 12.00.

What changes and what does not

  • Only product prices change (and variant prices, for the base price).
  • Invoices, quotes and orders already written keep their prices.
  • Products without a price to change (for example with no cost, or no dedicated price in the chosen list) are not listed.

The change cannot be undone automatically. To go back apply the inverse change: after +10% you need about −9.09%, not −10%.

Frequently asked questions

The preview says “No prices to change with these filters”: why?

No product matches the chosen category and supplier, or those found do not have the price to change. Widen the filters.

Can I update costs from a supplier’s price list?

Yes, with Supplier price list, which reads the supplier’s file and updates codes and purchase prices.
