Accompanying invoice
How to issue an invoice that travels with the goods, without a delivery note, with carrier, packages, weights and transport start in the XML and PDF.
- Where to find it
- Documents → New invoice → Transport → Accompanying invoice
What it is for
With an accompanying invoice (fattura accompagnatoria) the goods leave together with the invoice, without a separate delivery note. The invoice carries the transport details: in the e-invoice they go into the DatiTrasporto block, and on the PDF copy they appear with space for signatures.
How to do it
- Prepare the invoice as usual from Documents → New invoice.
- Open the Transport section and tick Accompanying invoice: Nanus sets Transport by to Sender and Transport start to the current time.
- If the customer has several addresses choose the Destination; with no choice the Customer’s address applies.
- Say who handles transport. With Carrier enter the name and the Carrier’s VAT no..
- Complete Freight, Appearance of goods, Packages, Gross weight (kg), Net weight (kg) and check Transport start.
- Tap Issue invoice, print the PDF to hand over with the goods and send the invoice to the SDI.
What Nanus checks
- when a carrier handles transport, the carrier’s details are required;
- a carrier without a VAT number appears on the printout but not in the XML, which requires it (warning);
- the FatturaPA format allows weights up to 9,999.99 kg and net weight cannot exceed gross weight;
- if transport starts before the invoice date you get a warning: an accompanying invoice must be issued at the latest when the goods leave.
Special cases
- The carrier’s VAT number can include the country prefix (for example
DE…); without a prefix Nanus treats it as Italian. - For deliveries invoiced later, use a delivery note and then a deferred invoice instead.
- The Remove stock-managed items from the warehouse tick box, under Payment and notes, decides whether the invoice moves stock.
Frequently asked questions
