What it is for

When you ship goods with a delivery note (DDT, documento di trasporto) you can invoice later, grouping the deliveries into a deferred invoice (type TD24). Italian rules require it by the 15th of the month after the deliveries, and it refers to the delivery notes it includes. Nanus takes lines, prices and VAT from the delivery notes and marks them as invoiced.

How to do it

  1. Open Documents and choose the To invoice filter.
  2. Tick the delivery notes to invoice. Only notes of the same customer can be grouped: once you pick the first, those of other customers cannot be ticked.
  3. In the bar that appears tap Deferred invoice.
  4. On the Deferred invoice page check Date, the proposed number, Delivery notes included, the preview with lines and totals and any warnings.
  5. Tap Create invoice: the invoice is saved as a draft and the delivery notes show Invoiced.
  6. Open the invoice in Documents and tap Send to SDI.

To invoice a single delivery note you can also open it and tap Invoice.

What it takes from the delivery notes

  • lines, quantities, prices, discounts and VAT of each delivery note, in date order;
  • the delivery note references (number and date) required in the e-invoice;
  • if the delivery notes come from an order, the reference to the customer’s order and its agent;
  • payment terms and due dates from the customer: the instalments go straight into the payment schedule.

Stock does not move again: the goods already left with the delivery notes.

What Nanus checks

  • The delivery notes must belong to the same customer and not be invoiced already.
  • The invoice date cannot be earlier than the last delivery note.
  • Every delivery note line needs a price and a VAT rate: “In delivery note …, line … has no price or VAT rate”.
  • A warning if the date is past the deadline of the 15th of the month after delivery.
  • A warning if the delivery notes are from different months: a deferred invoice usually groups one month of deliveries.

Common problems

  • A delivery note without prices cannot be invoiced this way: issue it again with prices or invoice the goods with an ordinary invoice.
  • To unlink the delivery notes from a deferred invoice that is still a draft, delete the invoice: the notes go back to To invoice.
