Sales and purchase VAT registers
The VAT registers of issued invoices and purchases, built from your documents, with a summary by rate, PDF printout and CSV export.
- Where to find it
- Accounting → Sales / Purchases
What it is for
The sales register lists issued invoices, the purchase register the supplier invoices you have recorded. Nanus builds them from the documents every time you open them: nothing to copy by hand and nothing to realign when you record a document late.
How to browse them
- Open Accounting and choose Sales or Purchases.
- Choose the Year and Period: Whole year, a month or a quarter. Recently used periods are listed below.
- Tap a document number to open it.
- Tap PDF to print the register, or More → Export CSV for the accountant.
Each row shows No. (the progressive number for the year), the document with its recording date, the counterparty with VAT number or tax code, the VAT rate or nature (N1–N7, the reason why there is no VAT), Taxable and Tax (Deductible VAT for purchases). At the bottom is the Summary by rate with the totals.
How documents are recorded
- Sales at the invoice date; purchases at the Recording date set in the purchase’s VAT recording section, which also decides when the VAT enters the settlement.
- For purchases, Deductible VAT (%) reduces the deductible part, for example 40 for company cars: the register shows the deductible VAT and, below it, the full tax.
- Credit notes are subtracted.
- Reverse-charge integrations and self-invoices (TD16–TD19, TD22) go into both registers; the self-invoice is merged with the recording of the supplier invoice it integrates.
- TD20, TD23, TD28, TD29 and the farm producer self-invoice go into purchases only.
- The self-invoice for exceeding the export ceiling (TD21) is in both registers, but its VAT is paid separately with an F24 form and is not part of the settlement.
Notes can appear below a document: “integrated by …” for an invoice with a self-invoice, deferred VAT (cash accounting), split payment and VAT paid with F24.
What Nanus checks
- An invoice in a foreign currency without an exchange rate, and without a self-invoice converting it, stays in the register with amounts in its currency: Nanus flags it.
- Checks on single documents are made by Nanus when you issue the invoice or record the purchase: the register shows documents already checked.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit a register row?
No: correct the document it comes from (the invoice or the purchase). The register updates itself.
Do these registers replace my accountant’s?
They are reports built from your documents: check them and pass them to your accountant with the ZIP package or the CSV files.
