Intrastat lists
Summary lists of intra-EU supplies and purchases of goods and services, built from your documents, as CSV and PDF.
- Where to find it
- Accounting → More → Intrastat lists
What it is for
Businesses that sell or buy goods and services with operators in other EU countries file the Intrastat lists. Nanus prepares the rows from invoices issued to EU customers (goods with nature N3.2, services with nature N2.1) and from purchases recorded from EU suppliers, grouped by counterparty, nature of transaction and nomenclature or service code.
How to do it
- Open Accounting, then More → Intrastat lists.
- Choose Year and Period: a month or a quarter. Last month is suggested when you open the page.
- In Lists to prepare tick the forms you need: INTRA-1 bis · Supplies of goods, INTRA-1 quater · Services supplied, INTRA-2 bis · Purchases of goods, INTRA-2 quater · Services received.
- Fix the warnings, for example by adding the nomenclature to the items.
- Download the CSV with More → Export CSV or the report with PDF.
Nanus does not file the lists: the electronic file must be prepared with the Italian Customs (Dogane) software, starting from the CSV. Check the lists with your accountant.
The data you need
- In the item’s record, Intrastat section: the Combined nomenclature (8 digits from the customs tariff) for goods, the Service code (CPA) for services.
- The item’s Net weight (kg) for the net mass; with The quantity is the supplementary unit the quantity sold becomes the supplementary unit.
- The EU VAT number of the customer or supplier.
- For documents in a foreign currency, the exchange rate, to calculate the amount in euro.
The suggested nature of transaction is 11 in monthly lists and 1 in quarterly ones (outright sale or purchase).
What Nanus checks
- Rows without nomenclature, service code or net weight.
- EU customers without a VAT number: the transaction is not included in the lists.
- Credit and debit notes: they correct earlier periods and belong in the correction sections, to be filled in separately.
- Purchases with lines without an item or a TD17/TD18 integration: they are treated as purchases of goods, to be checked.
- Purchases of goods are filed monthly only: with a quarter, Nanus asks you to choose a month.
- If the quarter’s total exceeds the threshold (€50,000 for supplies of goods and services supplied, €100,000 for services received, €350,000 for purchases of goods) it warns you that the list must be filed monthly.
