Daily takings register (corrispettivi)
The daily register of takings without invoice, with VAT extracted by rate, from counter sales or from the cash register’s Z report.
- Where to find it
- Accounting → More → Daily takings register
What it is for
Businesses that sell to the public without invoices (shops, craftsmen, restaurants) keep the register of corrispettivi (daily takings): for each day the total collected including VAT, split by rate, with the VAT extracted. Nanus fills it from recorded counter sales or from the daily closing totals you enter, and carries the VAT into the periodic settlement.
Nanus is not an electronic cash register (registratore telematico): it does not issue the commercial document (the receipt) and does not transmit takings to the Agenzia delle Entrate (the Italian Revenue Agency). The electronic cash register or the Agency’s “Documento commerciale online” service does; the data that count for tax purposes are those transmitted from there.
How to browse it
- Open Accounting, then More → Daily takings register.
- Choose Year and Period.
- At the top read Takings, VAT, Invoiced and any Returns for the period.
- For each Day you see rates, takings, VAT, invoiced amount and Collections by method (cash, electronic, not collected).
- Tap a date to open that day’s counter sales.
- Print with PDF or export with More → Export CSV for the accountant.
Below each day you read where the data come from (number of sales or From cash register), returns, and whether the day is open, closed or closed with the Z report number.
Closing the day
- Open the day’s counter sales and the Day closing section.
- Optionally enter the cash register’s Z report no.
- If you record sales in Nanus, tap Close the day: the totals are confirmed and that day’s sales can no longer be changed.
- If you only use the cash register, tick I only use the cash register: enter the Z report totals, enter Takings incl. VAT and Of which invoiced for each rate (Add VAT rate for more) and the collections by method, then close the day.
To correct a closed day use Reopen the day: sales become editable again. Totals entered from the Z report replace that day’s Nanus sales.
Rules and checks
- VAT is extracted from the total of each day and rate and enters the settlement automatically, as “of which daily takings”.
- Invoiced takings are excluded: their VAT comes with the invoice and must not be counted twice.
- The day’s collections go into the cash book; if you do not enter them in a manual closing, the day does not reach the cash book.
- With zero VAT the nature must be stated; one line per rate; the invoiced amount cannot exceed takings. Nanus warns you if collections do not match the total.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Nanus instead of an electronic cash register?
No. Nanus records the sale for stock, daily takings and any invoice, but the fiscal receipt and the transmission of takings remain with the electronic cash register or the Revenue Agency’s online service.
