Create an account, sign in and reset your password
How to create a Nanus cloud account, sign in with email and password, choose a secure password, reset it if you forget it and change it.
- Where to find it
- Sign-in page; Settings → Users and sign-in → Password
Available in the cloud version.
What it is for
To use Nanus in your browser and on your smartphone (the cloud) you need a personal account: email and password. With the same account you can work in several companies, each with its own role. The desktop app with the data on your computer asks for no sign-in: it opens directly.
Create the account
- On nanus.it open the Pricing page and choose Try free for 30 days on the plan you want.
- On the Try Nanus free for 30 days page check the chosen plan (Essential, Pro or Business: you can change it here).
- Fill in Full name, Company name, Email and Password, following the guidance below the password field.
- Tap Create the account and start the trial: you are signed in straight away and land on the Subscription page. The trial lasts 30 days and no credit card is needed.
If open sign-up is enabled, the sign-in page also shows No account yet? → Create an account. People invited by a company create their account directly from the invitation link.
Nanus is for adult businesses and professionals: by creating an account you declare that you use it for your business and accept the Terms of service.
Password rules
While you type a new password, a four-step indicator below the field (Not secure, Acceptable, Secure, Very secure) and a list of rules that tick off as you go guide you. The password must have:
- at least 12 characters (at most 200);
- an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol, for example
! ? @ # $ % & * - _ .; - no overly common words or sequences (such as
1234orqwerty); - not your name, your email or your company name.
A good method: three random words joined by numbers and symbols. The same rules apply when you change your password or choose a new one from the reset link.
Sign in and sign out
- Open Nanus in your browser: the Sign in page appears.
- Enter Email and Password and tap Sign in. If you have a passkey you can use Sign in with a passkey instead.
- If you turned on two-step verification, enter the Verification code and tap Verify and sign in.
On that device you stay signed in for 30 days, then Nanus asks you to sign in again. To sign out earlier open the menu with your company name at the top right and choose Sign out. A short anti-bot check may appear before sending: wait for it to complete.
Forgotten password
- On the sign-in page tap Forgot your password?, next to the password field.
- Enter your account email and tap Send the link. You will receive an email if the address matches an account: check your spam folder too.
- Open the link within one hour (it works once), enter the New password, repeat it and tap Save and sign in.
With the new password you are signed in straight away and all other devices are signed out. If you use two-step verification, you go back to the sign-in page instead, to sign in with the new password and the code.
Change your password
- Open Settings → Users and sign-in → Password.
- Enter the Current password, then the New password and Repeat the new password.
- Tap Change password.
After the change, sessions open on other devices are closed; you stay signed in only on the one you are using.
Common problems
- Incorrect email or password.: check the address and capital letters.
- Too many failed attempts. Try again in 15 minutes.: after 10 wrong attempts from the same network, sign-in is blocked for a quarter of an hour.
- An account with this email already exists.: sign in or reset your password.
- The link is no longer valid: the reset link has expired or was already used; request a new one.
- The new password is the same as the current one: choose a different one.
- Your account is not linked to any company.: you were removed from the companies you worked in; ask the owner for a new invitation.
