What’s new and Nanus updates
How new Nanus versions reach your browser and your computer, where to read what changed and how to find out which version you are using.

How new versions arrive
- In the browser (cloud, smartphone, tablet) you don’t need to do anything: the new version arrives by itself, with nothing to install.
- In the desktop app Nanus downloads the new version while you work and installs it when you close the app, or straight away with Update now. The details are on the page about desktop app updates.
- Your data stays where it is, both in the cloud and on your computer.
What’s new on the Home page
After an update the Home page shows the What’s new in Nanus box with the version number and the list of what has changed since you last opened Nanus on that device. If you skipped several versions, you see the changes of all of them together.
- The X (Close what’s new) removes the box until the next version.
- All release notes opens Help on the full list.
People using Nanus for the first time do not get the list of past versions: release notes appear from the next update on.
The full list
- Open Help (from the left column or, on a smartphone, from More).
- Leave the search empty and the area on All: at the bottom of the page you find What’s new in each version.
- Each version has its date and its items split into New, Improved and Fixed. The latest is already open; tap the others to read them.
The same release notes are also published on the website, on the What’s new page of nanus.it.
Which version am I using?
The version number is at the bottom of the left column (Version followed by the number); on a smartphone it is at the bottom of the More panel. It is useful when you contact support, although the version is attached to every report anyway.
Preview features
Some new features reach people with early access first. In the cloud the Nanus team turns it on for your company: Settings → Users and sign-in shows Early access with the notice Your account has early access. In the desktop app you choose it yourself with Get preview versions.

I closed the what’s new box: where do I find it again?
At the bottom of Help, under What’s new in each version, or on the What’s new page of nanus.it.
Do I have to update Nanus on my phone?
No: in the browser updates are automatic.
