What it is for

In Language and appearance you adapt Nanus to the way you work: language, colours and readability. These are personal preferences: every role has them, even people who cannot see the other company settings, and they apply straight away, with nothing to save.

How to do it

  1. Open Settings → Language and appearance.
  2. Under Language choose Italiano or English: the whole interface changes at once.
  3. Under Theme choose Automatic, Light or Dark. Automatic follows the operating system theme.
  4. Under Description size choose Normal, +1 px, +2 px or +4 px.

The options

  • Language: the first time, Nanus uses your browser language if it is one of those available; then it remembers your choice.
  • Theme: there is also a quick button at the bottom of the left column, next to the version number (on a smartphone at the bottom of the More panel). Each tap moves to the next theme: automatic, light, dark. The sign-in page has its own button to switch to the light or dark theme.
  • Description size: enlarges only descriptions and notes, not buttons and fields.
  • Phone bottom bar: the three sections of the phone bar (see the page on using Nanus on a smartphone).

Special cases

  • The choices apply to the device and browser where you make them: your phone and your computer can have different settings.
  • If the browser clears site data, or you use a private window, the choices may go back to the defaults.
  • In the desktop app preferences work the same way, even without an account.

To enlarge the whole page, buttons included, use the browser zoom (Ctrl and +).

Frequently asked questions

I changed language but a colleague still sees Italian: is that normal?

Yes: the language is a choice for each device, not for the company.

Does the dark theme also apply to invoice PDFs?

No, the theme only changes the colours of the interface.
