Connect an online shop (WooCommerce, Shopify and more)

How to download paid WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento or Ecwid orders into Nanus and send stock and prices to the shop.

Where to find it
Orders → More → Online shops

Open in Nanus

What it is for

Once you connect a WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento / Adobe Commerce or Ecwid shop, paid orders arrive among customer orders, creating the customer if missing and matching products by code (SKU). From there you issue delivery note and invoice as for any other order. The other way round, if you enable it, Nanus sends the shop the sellable quantity and the price of the products.

Connect the shop

  1. Open Orders → More → Online shops and tap Connect a shop.
  2. Choose the Platform: below it you see where to create the keys in the shop’s admin panel and which permissions to grant (read-only for orders, or also write to send stock and prices).
  3. Enter a Name and the shop address, then the required credentials: consumer key and secret for WooCommerce, the Admin API token for Shopify, the Webservice key for PrestaShop, the integration token for Magento, store number and secret token for Ecwid.
  4. In Download orders from choose the start date: earlier orders are left out.
  5. Keep Download orders automatically when opening the order list on if you want them to arrive without thinking about it, then tap Save.

A saved secret is never shown again: when editing the shop leave the field empty to keep it.

How orders arrive

  • With the automatic option, opening Orders makes Nanus check the shops at most once every 15 minutes; Download orders does it right away. The result lists every recorded order, marked New customer when the customer was created.
  • The customer is looked up by VAT number, tax code or email; if not found, it is created. Italian private customers get recipient code 0000000: the invoice reaches their tax drawer at the Revenue Agency.
  • Each line is matched to the product (or variant) with the same code; shipping and discount coupons become order lines.
  • The shop’s order number and date become the customer reference, and the order list shows the shop name.
  • A recorded order is never downloaded twice; one that could not be recorded is retried at the next download.

Stock and prices to the shop

In the shop record (Edit) open Stock and prices to the shop. It is off by default. You can choose:

  • Send the available quantity, with the Warehouses to count and the option Subtract what is already committed in undelivered customer orders.
  • Send the price, taken from the Selling price or a price list (Price from the price list), and whether The shop wants prices including VAT (PrestaShop always receives prices excluding VAT).
  • The shop SKU is: the item code, the barcode or the usual supplier’s code.
  • For Shopify the location and for Magento the inventory source, if you have more than one.
  • Sync automatically once a day, with the automations.

Sync now compares the shop with Nanus without changing anything and lists the changes (quantity and price from → to), how many products are already in sync and how many do not match. The shop is only updated when you tap Send … changes.

What Nanus checks

  • A warning for orders in a currency other than euro (amounts must be checked), for lines without VAT (an exemption nature is needed before invoicing), for non-Italian VAT rates and when the recalculated total differs from the shop’s.
  • An order whose customer has no address or postcode is not recorded: create the customer by hand and retry.
  • On the cloud the shop must have a public https address.
